Edmonton Transit System Trip Planner

Provides:Schedule information for the transit system 

Occupational therapists can: 
- Print out schedules for their clients
- Use the schedules to demonstrate the use of the transit system
- Teach clients how to use this system online through demonstration
- Make a podcast / videocast showing how to use this system (How to find your bus stop #, how to select landmarks, etc. )

Disability Adult Transit Service (DATS)

Provides: 
- Door to door public transportation for passengers 16 years or older who cannot use public transit because of physical or cognitive disability. 
- Requires appointment (booking 3 days before travel, 2 days before travel, day before until noon)
- Subscription bookings (for work, school) are available

Occupational therapists can:
- Recommend clients for the DATS system using the DATS application form requires referral from health care professional): Guide to DATS application form
- Teach clients or family members how to fill out DATS trip booking forms
- Provide a Guide to DATS sheet for those who may be interested in the program
- Provide a list of Alternative Accessible Transportation Services (i.e. taxis, rental buses, volunteer driving services)

Seniors on the Go

Provides: 
- Summer program (June – August) for seniors with education on how to use transit safely 
- Demonstrates how to use bus to popular destination (e.g. Valley Zoo, Fort Edmonton Park)

- Provide this information to senior clients who wish to live independently but are not sure how to take the bus safely
